For those planning to do the Camino, consider this:
Around about day 18 , just north of Sahagun, the Camino splits. You can either go to El Burgo Ranero (most do ‘cos it’s quicker) or go to Calzadilla de los Hermanilos. If you take the latter you will spend the night in a VERY quite village and the following day you will walk around 23km on one of the most perfect stretches of Roman road in Europe. There’s nothing else there…no food, water, or shade. But I found it a truly beautiful experience…if you can take the solitude..
