From here on the Caminho starts to present more of a challenge. Today I’m aiming for 24km into the hills
A lovely night in Aguas da Prata with my friend Sidney from Brazil who’s been giving me helpful walking advice along with members of the Caminho da Fe association.
A bit surreal to wake up alone in the pousada (hostel). The few other pilgrims are already on the road and even the staff arent in yet. Very different from Camino de Santiago.
But yesterday I did meet the first fellow walking pilgrims that I’d seen in a week

Keep pushing on Bob , It does sound like a different experience to the Camino Santiago, which has got to be good news for your liver ! I don’t suppose you’re missing the Thursday quiz too much either. Setting off on the Coast to Coast next month with my walking buddy most likely to be a wet experience but the real ales are good en route.

Very good. It was really nice meeting you. I´ll be following you until you reach Aparecida.
